The Nitecore P20 V2 is a very versatile flashlight optimized for tactical use. The lamp's performance comes from the CREE XP-L2 V6 LED, which is housed in the smooth SMO reflector module. Together, they provide a luminous flux of a whopping 1100 lumens and a substantial range of 222 meters. The lamp can be powered by both disposable and rechargeable batteries - either a classic 18650 battery or 2 CR123 batteries.

One of the lamp's special features is the three different user modes: Tactical Mode, Law Enforcement Mode and an "everyday" Daily Mode. Each user mode has been adapted to different conditions – for example, Tactical Mode has been designed so that all functions that are not necessary for tactical use have been removed. More information about the different user modes can be found below. The lamp's IP68 enclosure rating ensures that it can withstand harsh conditions and can be used in wet conditions. One of the lamp's main features is the smart control functions – the lamp is controlled through two separate switches for current and power mode. The switch turns the lamp on and off. It can either be pressed all the way down, or halfway down to turn on the lamp momentarily (ie until the switch is released). This is an important feature in tactical use. The power mode switch controls the different power modes of the lamp, which are three in number. The available effect modes vary depending on the user mode selected. The power mode switch also activates the lamp's rare wild strobe mode, which can be used to dazzle opponents in crowded situations. Strobe mode can be activated in a flash from any power mode.

The lamp comes with an adjustable holster that fits most types of belts. In addition, it is compatible with MOLLE systems for military use. The lamp can be placed in the holster at lightning speed and taken out just as quickly. Thanks to the patented "Anti-impact Reverse Polarity Protection Mechanism" function, the lamp is kept ready for use even during shooting, as the contact surfaces of the lamp against the power source are developed to stay firmly in place even with strong recoil. This thus prevents the current from being interrupted and the lamp being extinguished. The lamp is also equipped with a lens protection ring, which can also be used to break glass if necessary.

The lamp can be powered by an 18650 battery, which gives a maximum burning time of 55 hours. Alternatively, you can use 2 CR123 or RCR123 batteries. Comes with an adapter for CR123 batteries. In the bottom part there is an LED indicator that shows the remaining burning time.

User modes

-Tactical Mode (Mode 1). In the tactical mode, all redundant functions have been disabled. Only the lamp's highest power mode (1100 lm) and the strobe mode are active.

-Law Enforcement Mode (Mode 2). User mode developed for use within law enforcement. Two active power modes: High (1100 lm) and Medium (200 lm) and strobe. When the lamp is on, pressing the power mode switch causes the lamp to switch between High and Medium mode. After the lamp is turned off, it always turns on at the higher power level.

-Daily Mode (Mode 3). Suitable location for everyday hobby or professional use. In Daily Mode, all three power modes of the lamp and strobe are active. When the lamp is lit, pressing the power mode switch causes the lamp to switch between the power modes in the following order: Low-Medium-High. The Medium mode on Daily Mode is slightly more efficient (370 lm). The last used effect mode is stored in the lamp's memory. This is the default setting.

Quick guide

ON/OFF

Turn the light on/off by pressing the power switch all the way down. The last used effect mode is stored in the lamp's memory. The lamp can also be turned on momentarily by holding down the power switch halfway. The lamp goes out when the switch is released.

Change effect mode

Press the power mode switch when the lamp is on to switch between the different power modes. There are a total of 3 different power modes (the number of active ones depends on the selected user mode). Activate Strobe mode by holding down the power mode switch.

Switch user mode (Tactical / Daily)

1.     Make sure the light is off.

2.     Unscrew the bottom part of the lamp.

3.     Press and hold the power mode switch and screw the bottom piece back on.

4.     When the bottom piece is screwed on, the light flashes 1-2 times to mark which effect mode is active (1 flash = Tactical Mode, 2 flashes = Law Enforcement Mode, 3 flashes = Daily Mode).

5.     Repeat the steps to switch between all 3 power modes.

Battery indicator

Check the battery charge by loosening the bottom piece and screwing it back on. The base LED indicator shows the remaining charge by flashing:

-Three flashes = Charge over 50%

-Two flashes = Charging below 50%

-One blink = Charge close to 0%
